Save Yourself the Trouble: What Not to Store in Storage
While self storage is a great avenue to decluttering the home, there are a few items that are restricted within our units. We understand the need for convenient storage solutions, but these restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of our customers, employees, and the facility. Restrictions on what we allow in the storage units keeps the environment hazard free and compliant with the industry of self storage’s regulations. Proper storage keeps the environment hazard-free and compliant with industry regulations.
We Do NOT Allow:
Flammable Items: Combustible materials are not allowed in the units. The threat of catching fire can not only damage your belongings, but the belongings of our other customers, our facility and can in extreme cases cause death. We do not want to take this risk for the safety of you and us. We do not allow the storage of fireworks, fuel tanks, fertilizer, paint thinner, gasoline, illegal substances, firearms, alcohol, explosives, etc. If you are unsure if you are allowed to store an item, call the facility office BEFORE bringing it on site.
Animals/ Plants: We do not allow any living animals or plants within the unit. Plants and soil attract pests, for this reason we have restrictions. Live animals are ABSOLUTELY not allowed, as our units are not designed to house living creatures or people. If you are unsure if you are allowed to store an item, call the facility office BEFORE bringing it on site.
Food: Food storage is not allowed as it can attract pests and create an infestation in both your storage unit and in the surrounding units. Food storage that is restricted includes: any form of food, including canned food, perishable foods, dried foods, freeze dried foods, pet food, drinks, alcohol, etc. If you are unsure if you are allowed to store an item, call the facility office BEFORE bringing it on site.
Weapons and Drugs: We prioritize the safety of all customers and staff. We do not allow the storage of any weapons including firearms, blades, knives, tasers and stun guns. Illicit drugs are strictly prohibited in our storage units. This includes all substances regulated or banned under federal, state, or local government laws. If you are unsure if you are allowed to store an item, call the facility office BEFORE bringing it on site.
We prioritize safety within our units for both our customers, their belongings, our team and our facility. If any restricted items are found in your unit, we reserve the right to immediately terminate your lease.
